The online bidder they were asking to go £80 was me 🤣🤣 I didn’t bother though went too high, those cars were ridiculous! I was looking at one lot of them. Seen sold prices a lot lower than what you’re saying when I was looking them up but good luck with them!

How is it "cheeky"? It makes perfect business sense. For them. They're getting savvier, and so they should be. People who buy on Ebay are also "normal people" your mental gymnastics are continuously bewildering.

You are dead right about not revealing your intended purchases at Auction, the less competition you have the better the odds are.

If you go to your local bus depot and ask them to save you all the old free newspapers they'll give you loads, I get tons from my local depot, haven't needed packaging for ages

Good video Jon. Charity shop prices are fine for the public if they are buying as the ultimate end user, still some good bargains to be had. They are not great value if you're looking to buy to resell. Charity shops are smarter now, our local one even goes to car boots to buy records to sell in the store or on eBay. It also has a dedicated volunteer listing the good stuff on eBay. The Manager there has told me that he prices at eBay levels now, checks solds on line and price matches. I don't even bother with them any more, no point.

They have been taking it out of the back door since my mum of dad were doing markets.nothing has changed.they were doing markets from when i was 6 and im 48.so they havent changed

Cheeky ? Whats Cheeky ? People mostly donate to their choice Charity shops because it's been a matter that has been close to their Hearts. The people who make donations arent bothered what profit the Charity Shops make .... Now, as for Resellers making massive profits ? That would be another matter. This is now having a knock on effect to Car Boot sales. It's a great idea that the Charity Shops are now setting up their own ebay sites and sales .... Obviously doesn't agree with some .....

Where's the other carboot you go to after the one you showed? I know you couldn't go as it started raining 😥 but where is it please?

I have a family member that works for a national charity shop and they have significantly boosted there ebay operation now, they used to have 2 people running the ebay side now they have around 15 people a day running it. All items including clothing is now sorted and checked and if its designer or value is over £10 they want it sent to there ebay now. Ebay has even done Microsoft teams shows with these people to train them how to list and package items etc

I volunteer in a couple of different charity shops obviously we aren't paid for it but we donate our time to help save lives and care for people with terminal illness... If we sort stuff and find things we'd like to purchase for the same price as general public its fine, helps to bolster the ebay store and they get the money they want

Put some clear bags on the electricals in shed damp moisture gets in which then attracts dust, dust gets in and knackers mate

Well if resellers keep on putting up videos of all the bargains they find at car boots no wonder sellers put up their prices and check out the items before hand Plus it’s swings and roundabouts win some lose some I list what ever don’t cherry pick my stock

With that HP book, it’s a first edition and first print but does it have the dropped line on page 7? If it doesn’t but still has the errors on other pages, it means it’s a first edition, first print but second state. Still holds value between £250-400 depending on condition. Sometime a little lower if the cover is particularly bad. Hope that helps. I’m guessing based on it not having “Joanne Rowling” that you have the second state version. Good luck!

Just because charity shops don't sell bargains for resale, doesn't make them a 'rip-off'. They are simply not there to satisfy the reselling community.

I get stuff out of the charity bins,i guess they were priced up to high and hung around to long,advantage me lol,had and still do get some great stuff al.ost daily

Get yourself into your loft. I’ve had to rack mine out and floor it all due to eBay taking over first my shed then the house. It’s great but baking in the summer and can imagine freezing in the winter

On the Car CD Boombox, when you were talking about the power adaptor what you were pointing at I'm sure is a headphone jack socket, power inputs are normally on the back for safety reasons, surprised it isn't a normal figure 8 cable.
